Opening Time
Working Hours
The opening hours are indicated here:contacts (we are open from Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 1.00pm and from 2.30pm to 7.00pm. We are closed on weekends).
If you are able to work independently, it is also allowed to work during the lunch break (from 13.00 to 14.30).
Entry limit time
We ask you not to arrive after 18.00.
Access mode
Access Mode
To access the MakerSpace it is necessary to fill in the information (find the form here, or we will provide it directly to you in the laboratory).
If you are competent or your job is simple you can go to the laboratory and work.
If you have any doubts, before starting we recommend that you ask us for a quick consultation to understand, for example, which materials to choose, which types of joints to use, how to optimize the material, which types of finish to use, etc.
Booking
To access the MakerSpace it is not necessary to book, but it is better to call the day before to check that our operators in the laboratory are not absent for deliveries.
Reservation is required in case of long, complex or large-scale work.
Tours
It is possible to visit our space, also for groups and classes. In the case of classes, it is best to advise (you can contact us here).
Services
MakerSpace Services
The MakerSpace is equipped with the following services (included in the price): a dressing room, heating in winter and air conditioning in summer, PPE (personal protective equipment), Wi-Fi, kitchen and office to carry out planning or managing work.
It is also possible to rent our truck (excluded from the price).
Equipment rental
We do not rent equipment; it is allowed to use it only within the MakerSpace.
Material
Material procurement
If you are lucky you can find the material in our warehouse among the unused pieces (we evaluate the material at cost price), or you can go to the Bricocenter nearby, bring it from home or find it from our suppliers according to what you need (contact us for more information).
For large supplies we can have the material delivered here, or transported by our own means.
Painting
We do not use spray and / or powder paints, but only water-based paints (rolled or brushed), which therefore do not contain solvents.
However, we can recommend suppliers to turn to for spray or powder coatings.
Payment
Payment methods
You can pay in cash, by cards, PayPal or Satispay. Or, consuming the value of your Izcard.
Discounts and subscriptions
There are no conventions, but for prolonged periods of work we make small discounts.
For very long working periods (months) we can evaluate a subscription formula.
Prices
Use of spaces
2.50 €/h.
The price includes the use of tools and some power tools.
Consulting and Labor
7 €/15 min.
We are available for design consultancy on materials, purchases and technological / construction solutions.
Labor includes all machining on tools and complex machines.
Store
5€/night.
Haven’t you finished your work? You can leave materials and your semi-finished products at Izlab MakerSpace.
Use of the wire welder
3.50 €/h.
The price includes the use of spaces and consumables.
Numerical control milling machine
30 €/h.
The price includes the verification in the file, the milling and a first sanding.
Cutting material is excluded.
Type of users
Who can entry
People who want to manufacture or repair an object, makers, designers and craftsmen can access the laboratory.
Minors
Minors can access the MakeSpace accompanied by a parent or a tutor, or alone after completing the information form of a parent / tutor in the name of the minor.
Placing your items on sale
It is possible to make and make objects and then put them up for sale. It is normal for us to host makers, artists and artisans (such as Silvia Picari, Monica Taverniti e Fortress).
We can also offer advice in terms of incubation and business support.
Machines
Available Machines
All the machines (see those listed below) can be used, with the exception of the squaring machine, the planer and the band saw. For these, and therefore to carry out cuts and planing, the labor of an operator is required (these machines, therefore, cost 7 € / 15 min).
Carpentry tools can be welded and used.
CNC
It is not possible to use this tool freely, except after having completed the CNC course and after a short period of coaching with us.
If you have already used a CNC and are able to generate Gcode files with a CAM, you will still need a quick consultation on approaching our machine.
